MAGNESIUM

Magnesium is the lightest structural metal in use today and is predominantly used in the form of alloys.

Magnesium is used in products that benefit from being lightweight, such as car seats, luggage, laptops, cameras and power tools. Another key use of magnesium is an alloying element in the aluminium industry. Magnesium metal hardens aluminum alloys and improves their weldability. Magnesium alloys are extensively used in the automotive and aerospace industries.

Magnesium is also employed in the manufacture of high grade steel in construction industry. When added in the molten state to molten iron, it removes sulphur by producing magnesium sulfide, which can be skimmed off in the form of slag.

Magnesium is traded in the form of ingots, granules or powders. Our main magnesium product is Mg 99.9 ingots á abt. 8 kg but we can supply other magnesium products as per our clients' requirements.
